How to tell you about me . . . Let's start by being honest with you. I really care about the information I post.

After attempting to start an online business three years ago, I discovered something - there are A LOT of scams and misinformation out there! I also discovered something about myself. First and foremost - I love helping people help themselves!

So I began thinking, "How can I start a website that helps people and empowers them to be successful?" And the answer came to me, "Help people with bad credit!" And that's how www.1-800badcredit.com was started!

Why did I choose the topic of bad credit? Because I’ve been there and received AND been denied help. And in hindsight, I wish I knew then what I know now!

When I started my own businesses back in the 70's and 80's the economy was tough. I worked hard to keep my credit and debt manageable, but it eventually overwhelmed me and my wife, and we ended up in bankruptcy. But not before giving it a good 15 year run.
In the late 80's through the mid-90's bankruptcy ruined you. Most lenders wouldn't give you credit cards or car loans. Renting a home was difficult and owning a home was out of the question.

It took us 10 years to get beyond the bankruptcy and be able to afford a home and get a car loan.

My daughter, Leslie’s, credit card debt piled up on her about 10 years ago through a series of job layoffs and it took her well over 2 years to get back on top. She was turned down for car loans and credit cards and was late on a lot of credit card payments. She finally turned to a credit counseling agency that rescued her and helped put her back on the path to sanity.

I began researching for this site two years ago with the hopes of bringing sanity back into your life as well. I understand that life overwhelms you sometimes and that you can get behind. But there is help available!

I have spent countless hours researching and finding lenders, credit counselors and credit card companies that will help you get your life back on track. Lenders that know you're having a tough time, but want to help.
